This site is dedicated to the memory of John Graham.

At the beginning of 2005, my Dad slipped on ice while out walking the dog and hurt his hip. I remember having a laugh at his limp and telling him he needed to be more careful now he was getting on a bit.

His sore hip never got better.

In fact, it turned out he had metastatic prostate cancer - cancer which had started in the prostate gland but spread to the bone (and other areas). The fall had somehow aggravated it.

On 2nd May 2005, my Dad died, just 10 weeks after diagnosis.
He'd had a few symptoms over the years but had put them down to the stress of running his own business.

The trouble is, prostate cancer has very few symptoms in the early stages.

In the UK:
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer.
Over 47000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. That's 130 a day!

In Scotland:
More than 3000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year.
2 Men die every day because of prostate cancer.

Prostate Cancer UK have invested millions of pounds into research, services and awareness over the last 10 years. They provide services to men and their families like Specialist Nurses, one-to-one support and information leaflets.

On 25 April 2016 I embarked upon an exciting career with Prostate Cancer UK as their Fundraising Co-ordinator for Scotland.

I wholeheartedly agree with them when they say Men Deserve Better and Ignoring prostate cancer won’t beat it. So please join me in the fight to stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Remember my Dad by donating a couple of £s to Prostate Cancer UK.

Thank you.

Lots of love
Marlene xx
